Leaving for the fieldwork...

After one and half year studying Anthropological theories and methods in Amsterdam, it's now the time for me to bring them into practice in Hanoi, my home city!

Leaving the Netherlands for a three-month fieldwork in Vietnam and will return in April 2007.

"Ritual" of finishing the Research proposal...

In one of the "Rituals" of finishing the research proposal...
Unbelievable, we finally finished the four hardworking months with 9 essays, 2 research papers, 7 presentations, 25 annotated bibliography and hundreds of articles and books! It is not too overstated to assert that we are heroes!

Working on the research proposal!

It took 4 months to finish writing my research proposal. During that time, all of us suffered from meeting two deadlines every week. Actually, for four months I had no sense of weekend because every Monday we had to hand in an assignment. For me, weekend was the most hard-working time...
